Bldg4
A carpenter jort rebuilt with damage, repair, and layered detail. The Chrysler short is cut from 100% cotton in a wide BLDG4 jort silhouette, designed with a baggy fit and structured drape. The base is treated with a washed finish that pulls out depth across the fabric, while printed artwork sits across the upper front, creating a strong graphic layer beneath applied elements.
At the front crotch, a dense cluster of pins is applied directly over the print, giving the piece a collected, built-up feel rather than a clean graphic surface, as shown in the placement reference on page 8. Double knee construction reinforces the workwear foundation, while large open knee destruction exposes backing fabric beneath, creating contrast through both color and texture. Repair stitching and canvas backing are used throughout the damaged areas, emphasizing reconstruction rather than simple distressing.
Heavy breaking runs across the seams, pockets, and hem, with long frayed threads extending from the bottom edge for a worn-through finish. A hammer loop and carpenter pocket details add utility to the silhouette, grounding the piece in traditional workwear while the layered graphics and hardware push it into a more expressive space. Built to feel worn, repaired, and reworked over time, the Chrysler short blends structure, damage, and detail into one statement jort.
